Recipe of beef malai boti
Ingredients:
500 grams boneless beef, cut into cubes
1 cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
2 tablespoons fresh cream
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons grated cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 tablespoon cornflour (cornstarch)
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust according to your spice preference)
Salt to taste
Skewers for grilling
Oil for brushing
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, fresh cream, lemon juice, grated cheddar cheese, melted butter, cornflour, ground cumin, ground coriander, black pepper, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix everything together until well combined to make the marinade.
Add the beef cubes to the marinade and coat them evenly with the mixture. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and let the beef marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight. This will allow the flavors to infuse into the meat.
Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
Take the marinated beef cubes out of the refrigerator. Thread the beef onto skewers, evenly distributing the meat.
Brush the beef cubes with a little oil to prevent sticking and place them on the preheated grill or on a baking sheet if using the oven.
Cook the beef malai boti for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned and cooked through. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the meat, so keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking.
Once cooked, remove the beef malai boti from the grill or oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
Serve the beef malai boti hot, garnished with some freshly chopped coriander leaves and lemon wedges. They can be enjoyed as an appetizer or as a main course with naan bread or rice.
Enjoy your homemade beef malai boti!
